So I am not a fan of summer time. Do I love the weather? yes! but honestly I can’t stand having all of my kids home. They pretty much drive me crazy and it’s next to impossible for me to take all 4 of them anywhere without it ending in me having a melt down! Where we are living right now they do this awesome summer’s in the park program and it’s all for FREE, yes you heard me FREE!! I take the older boys to the park at 9am and then at noon I go and eat lunch(they get free lunch I don’t)with them, then I drive them to the park by my house and drop them off at 1pm and pick them up at 4pm. It’s been a life saver! They are so exhausted by the time they get home that they don’t want to get off the couch! Can we say AWESOME! I just have to deal with the babies during the day, which is harder than I thought it would be.
I have started to HATE the phrase “they are so sweet and happy all the time”. When people say this about Leah I want to punch them in the face! For the past month the child has been driving me crazy! Difficult magnified by a million is how I would describe her right now. Taking her places is a joke because she hates to be off her schedule. She is getting big and I already have a baby(which he’s a story in himself) that I’m carrying around, so when she falls on the floor throwing herself around I just don’t know what to do. What do you feed a child that won’t eat anything? Her diet was slim before but all the sudden it’s taken a turn for the worse. Things she loved she now refuses to eat, she had 4 go gurts this morning and threw a massive fit cause she wanted more! gggrrrrrrrrrrrr. Needless to say she is not happy right now, nor is she sweet-cute yes and that could be the only reason why she’s making it through the day!
Here she is “helping” me feed Brody!

My sister Becky and her daughter Emily came up to visit. It was so great to have them here. It’s been 1 1/2 years since I’ve seen them! Wow how Emily has changed. She’s become a “pre-teen” for sure! It’s amazing how much a child can grow in a year and a half! We had a great visit, shopping , playing with the kids and going to the coast. We got some great pics. When we stopped at one beach Emily found 2 live sand dollars, they were still purple! Then the next day she found another one! It was crazy! I love to drive the coast and stop at all the beautiful beaches and light houses. Oregon is a beautiful and wonderful place to live! Here are some pics from our drive up the coast. Thanks for coming to visit Becky and Emily! I love you both so much.

We are closing on our house sometime this week and moving in on the 11th. This will be my last post for a couple of weeks. I will post pics of our new house after the move! Happy Summer!

I’m sorry Leah is being so difficult lately. Antalya gets like that too. If she doesn’t get exactly what she wants when she wants it she throws herself on the ground screaming – then she gets even madder because it always hurts her head. We have about 30 melt downs a day it seems like. I don’t know how you do it with your baby. I still carry Antalya almost everywhere – who know what I will do once this baby comes
Hang in there – maybe everytime someone tells you just how sweet and loving and “happy all the time” Leah is you can ask them to watch her for a few hours:) Maybe then they will start to realize that our kids are more like other kids than they are different.
Good luck with the move. Hope it all goes smoothly and you get settled quickly.

Okay it’s beautiful on the coast. I want to visit:) I have to agree with your friend Sunny, just have people watch your kids, then they will understand the pain! Leah is pretty darn cute, and I’m sure that’s what’s keeping her out of trouble! LOL ha ha My little niece doesn’t eat anything, so they give her pedia-sure (spelling?) Anyway, she loves it, it has a few flavors, try it. At least she’ll get a few calories! We had a BBQ with Michelene and Zach. We talked about you guys! We really would love to get together when you guys get around to coming down again! Good luck with the move. You are troopers! I love reading your blog! You say it like it is! I LOVE that!

I tell ya she really has turned from cuddly bear to scary bear. I love that dear Leah and wish I was around to take her off your shoulders for awhile. I know you moved this weekend so I wont expect to hear from you for a few days but take care and I know “you will survive”. But if anyone deserves a free park day for the kids all summer that would be you.
